Support

Reporting to the Administrator and Alternate Administrator, caregivers provide non-medical professional caregiving services to clients — companionship, personal care, assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), and light housekeeping. Hours vary based on agency need and availability. Responsibilities: - Review client service plans and provide assistance as indicated; document care via progress notes. - Provide companionship and supervision to clients with a variety of disabilities, illnesses, and needs. - Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. - Assist with toileting and incontinence care as needed. - Assist with transferring (e.g., bed to chair) and ambulation as needed. - Provide socialization and stimulating activities appropriate to each client's level of cognition. - Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed; provide medication reminders as appropriate. - If approved, accompany or transport clients to appointments/errands. - Perform light housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, dishes, light bathroom cleaning, laundry, and making beds. Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years of age. - One year of experience providing in-home or facility care to elderly individuals and/or individuals with disabilities. - Experience providing ADL assistance, including incontinence care. - Experience with adults with cognitive impairments (e.g., Alzheimer's) highly desired. - Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs unassisted. - Ability to pass a background check and follow written care plans. - Good verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to write clear progress notes. - Valid driver's license and access to a safe, reliable vehicle. - Ability to maintain client confidentiality and represent the agency professionally.
